Goshen Business Group, LLC (GBG) (formerly Brown Accounting Solutions), serves the financial and business compliance consulting needs of small, medium. & large organizations, and the self employed. What makes GBG unique is the suite of specialized services that we customize for your organization's particular needs. We ensure that every client receives personal attention, competent help, and superior customer service. Our focus area is Compliance.
With the services that we provide, we help your organization develop and maintain compliant internal control systems. The biggest part of an organization being compliant is its internal controls. Many businesses may not realize that whether you're a one-person solopreneur or a 10,000 employee company, you must have adequate and compliant internal controls. We help you identify which internal controls your business has and how to keep them in compliance with all tax laws, industry standards, and other regulations that relate to your specific business. We help you identify and resolve issues that can become bigger problems later that can cost you more money. No business wants to lose more money in the long run when they can solve the problem up front.
The Small Business Administration reported that about 50% of businesses fail in their first five years. Of the various reasons businesses fail, some of the top reasons are bad accounting, bad record keeping, owners not getting out of their own way (not knowledgeable in all the things their business needs to be compliant), not paying taxes, and more. Our goal is to keep your business compliant and keep it off the list of failed businesses. GBG can help your company develop strategies to
We help you identify your overall control environment, which can include your accounting system, labor system, billing system, budgeting/planning system, compensation system, purchasing/materials system, and estimating system. If you do not have any of these systems in place, we can help you develop them and help you maintain compliance after they are in place. Believe it or not, all of these business systems point right back to the financial operations and financial processes in your business. This can include having a good accounting system in place to track all cash inflows/outflows, expenses, labor expenses (payroll, employee time worked, etc), projects/contract transactions, assets, liabilities, and more. This can also include determining the best legal structure for your business, which determines the types of taxes you're responsible for, the types of tax reporting you're required to do, how different forms of compensation are viewed and taxed, and more.
GBG is the fresh set of eyes you need when the way gets cloudy for your business. We do this through consulting, coaching, and training. In addition, we can also provide speaking services for your next event. With almost two decades of experience, we are ready to add your business to our list of pleased clients.
